Giants Need To Shake Off Rough Week Vs Mariners Tonight

False positive Covid tests, trounced by San Diego in a doubleheader, Poor air quality postponing games. The time to turn our fortunes around is now.

I don’t have butterflies for this one; I’ve got hummingbirds. I get excited about all Giants games, but as we are now about an hour away from Giants Mariners in San Francisco, I’m freakin pumped. It’s been a rough week, to say the least. Even in just the last few days, positive Covid test, miss two days of baseball. HOT FRIGGGGIN DOG, it was a false positive we’re playing tomorrow! We got murked by SlamDiego in both games of the doubleheader. I was so ready to sit down last night and watch our game vs. the Mariners…. Postponed due to poor air quality….. What. The. Actual. Fuck.

I am so ready to watch this game. You know we haven’t won a baseball game in exactly a week? Granted, we’ve only played baseball two of those seven days, but we need to play, and we need to win!

Fun fact, the last game that we won was vs the Mariners.

The race for the last two wild card spots in the NL is tight, and us not adding to the win column in so long hurts. We need to come back today motivated. I know that the players have had a hell of a week, but if they don’t shake that off and come in with their war paint on ready to throw haymakers, we’re screwed. Today is the day to get back on track. We won’t be able to shake off the dust playing the A’s. We need to play with everything that we’ve got today, and I believe that we will.
